ECHA begins public consultation for proposal of the Fifteenth 4 SVHCs

Helsinki—On 29 February 2016, the four SVHC intentions proposed by Germany and Sweden entered into official public consultation, which ends on 14 April 2016. The substances will be listed on the Candidate List (SVHC List) once passed during the public consultation as the 15th batch of SVHCs.

According to REACH, if SVHC is present in products in a concentration that greater than 0.1% and the volume for export is less than 1 tonne, downstream importers shall be notified with such information for communication and also provided with certifications. However, if SVHC is present in products in a concentration that greater than 0.1% and the volume for export is greater than 1 tonne, notification of such information to ECHA is necessary.
