China randomly inspects of 31 kinds of products

On 5 August 2016, General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China (AQSIQ) has published the notification of random inspection for 31 products, during which wet wipes, tissues and fashion jewellery are detected non-compliant.
 
During April to June this year, AQSIQ randomly inspected 31 products involving electricals & electronics, light industrial products, constriction and decoration materials, agricultural materials, machinery and safety protection, electric materials.
 
266 batches of products were found non-compliant inspection:

• Wet tensile strengthen of tissue;
• Nickel release and the cadmium content of fashion jewellery;
• Naphthalene in water-proof coatings;
• Total (w%) of toluene and xylene in flooring materials.

Competent departments shall treat the manufacturers that fail to meet standards according to laws:
They will order manufacturers to stop producing or selling non-compliant products, supervise the destruction of or take necessary technical measures to handle such products and intensify follow-up supervision.
