On 10 November 2016, the WTO/TB 71^th regular meeting was held in Geneva. On the same day, Chemicals Research Review Base under Shanghai Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China convened specialists to hold TBT Notification Conference for Chemicals Review in the rear to response to the Chinese delegation so as to fully show the interest pursuits for the Chinese industries. Ms. Laura Ho, technician of Hangzhou C&K Testing Technic Co., Ltd. also attended the conference.

In the conference, more than 20 specialists formed their opinions and suggestions for 4 foreign chemical regulations.

Specialists present discussed the limit rationale, support for developing countries, transitional periods and feasibility of substitute technology in view of the new PFOA restriction under REACH Regulation, which attracts widely concern among Chinese businesses. The opinions formed had been submitted to the Chinese delegation in Geneva before the opening of Sino-euro consultation. Four hours later, EU recognises the rationality of the aforesaid concerns and says European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) will further discuss about those issues.
