The European Commission has published its decision in the EU Official Journal on the non-inclusion of formaldehyde (product type 20 – preservatives for food or feedstocks) under Annexes 1, 1A or 1B of the biocidal products Directive.
Biocides used as feed preservatives and containing formaldehyde will be banned from 1 July 2015.
