OEKO-TEX® Standard 100

Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 is a normative document, published by the International Association for Research and Testing in the field of Textile Ecology (OEKO-TEX®). As the most widely used requirements on ecological textiles, majority of textiles are tested as per the standard to ensure their chemical safety. Ecological textile standards in countries are also formulated by referring to Oeko-Tex®Standard 100, such as GB/T 18885 Technical Specifications on Ecological Textiles (Chinese Standard).

Applicability

This standard is applicable for textile and leather products and articles of all levels of production, including textile and non-textile accessories. This standard is also applicable to mattresses, feathers and downs, foams, upholstery and other materials with similar characteristics. This standard is not applicable for chemicals, auxiliaries and dyes.
